depends what you want. Harmony are good remotes and easy to set up, but if you want something cool that canbecome anything you want (but takes timne and efort to set-up) my preference falls on the Pront 9400 or 9600 depending on the form factor.

As far as anybody knows, there are no universal remotes that are compatible with the PS3. It's Sony's 24.99 one or nothing.

There arent any remotes I know of which have Bluetooth built in, however there are work-arounds.
One option is to buy a cheap PS3 remote off of Amazon (Called the Blue Wave Remote for 16.99.)
It's a cheapie remote, but it comes with a USB Infra-red dongle which plugs into the PS3. simply train the harmony the commands of the cheapie remote, and you can control the PS3 with the harmony.
I just got the Harmony One and did that very thing. The only thing you cannot do with this option is power on/off the PS3 or eject a disc, but pretty much everything else can be set up this way. My only problems so far is that the IR dongle can be a bit sluggish to receive/respond to commands.

Another options is this just-released Bluetooth/IR adapter called IR2BT. This little adapter can supposedly support ALL functions of the PS3 including eject and power off/on with your universal remotes and is supposed to work a lot quicker than the first option. The only down side is it's 55 bucks. Not a huge amount, but still pricey for a small BT/IR adapter.

no and yes.

The PS3 uses Bluetooth and there is no remote that does that. That being said there are a few solutions that work using different techniques.

Thumbs up

RTI's T2C, but it is not open to the public. You have to go through a custom installer. It has just the right amount of hard buttons/space for touch screen.

For "better than" consumer level, try wild west electronics.

I bought an MX-500 Hometheatermaster Remote from them almost 5 years ago and I never looked back.

If you just want to go to a store and get one off the shelf, my friend is very happy with this Sony lcd....programmable...master...thingie....um...thi ng.

Later,

Isn't the MX-500 the one that looks like a UPS hand held signature capture/scanner thing?

If the OP says money is not an issue, and is willing to plunk down over $300 for a universal remote, another $55 to have that remote work with his PS3 would bother him in the least, methinks.
