Question Why do TVs have horrible speakers?

Why do most TVs have horrible speakers and it is must you have to have surround sound? Do you have wireless surround sound speakers or wired surround sound speakers?

In the industry's desire to make tv's thinner and flatter, the room necessary for speakers of any real quality has been eliminated.

Because it is far more profitable for manufacturers to lower the cost, not price mind you, of TVs by not including quality audio components, hand in hand with prodding consumers to purchase increasingly costly sound bars, which they also manufacture and bundle with said TVs, to approximate decent sound clarity, never mind quality.

Like the man said, it's a trap.

I don't want the prices raised for better TV speakers that will still be inferior to separate speakers. They know that anyone who cares will get separate speakers or soundbars anyway.

Try Panasonic VIERA Plasma HDTV sets! They should make the bass and room go boom!

I have 2 of the Panasonic's. A 55" VT60 and a 65" ZT60. The bigger ZT set is so thin that the smaller but wider VT sounds better.
