Michael Madsen was great in the film Donnie Brasco.

Also saw this on Steam for 1.99. Those are the kinds of sale prices that make trying a new game nearly harmless.

It's first person view, and has a lot of former big movie stars in it.

This is what irks me about Sony, MS etc. that mobile trash games with nary an improvement when ported that cost like $0.99 on the mobile stores cost double or more on consoles. This is why PC is significantly ahead when it comes to purchase options.

True, but they gave away the DLC for free a few months ago so for me owning the full package on console is cheaper than Steam.

Steam doesn't allow you to add DLC for a game you don't own, at the time of the free DLC the game was $20 on all platforms. Game plus all DLC is ~$18 on Steam now vs. the $4 I paid on Xbox for the game plus all DLC. Yay consoles!

I think that's definitely an area of improvement for STEAM but overall i still think pricing drops a lot more in a shorter time over there because there's multiple competitors selling content but also because the PC side doesn't always close down loopholes where you can purchase products internationally as much.

Yeah, Steam is supposedly very strict when it comes to regional pricing. I've heard you can get banned for changing regions, the idea being you are doing it to take advantage of better exchange rates, but I don't know if it really matters. Steam locks you into a region for a minimum of three months, that seems to be the only penalty (or maybe I've been lucky the few times I did it).

STEAM i can understand is a bit more fixed but there's other places you can more freely use to buy internationally without issues. I personally think that if you are happy to sell a game for $5 Uganda, then you shouldn't wonder when people don't want to pay $25 for the exact same thing in the US, UK etc. and make efforts to purchase the exact same thing elsewhere for less.

Totally agree. I know most users in this forum aren't interested in Xbox, but my Xbox digital library is literally 10x bigger than PS specifically because of regional pricing differences. Since Microsoft lets you add games to your account from any region (vs Sony and Nintendo which require additional regional accounts for digital), Argentina and Turkey have been very beneficial to my collection (or backlog ). It is one of the reasons I play more on Xbox, better value since the ecosystem is more open.

In general, I agree that a lot of mobile games ported to PS5 are doubled or more in price, but that's also true of games from PC to Consoles. I think Sony must charge extra or something. But if not, then porting it to consoles could be an extra cost. I'm sure Sony takes a cut of the profits on the PS Store as Steam does with Steam games.

Sony though, they have lost all control over the PS Store as games like Pet the Hedgehog, which aren't even really games as you probably only push one button, are like strangling weeds growing rampant all over the garden of games on PS Store. There are some for .99 cents with stick figures against a black background, as to how low the quality can get on PS Store. Probably took the developer a day to make.

This game looks decent though IMO.

Not to offtrack this too much but that's definitely a GREAT thing for you to still be able to do. PlayStation shut it down pretty recently and apart from letting my PS+ lapse and sharing with my brother, the international stores let you buy a lot of games for up to half the cost. Money i was glad to pay even for a digital product as long as i got a solid saving.

Piracy isn't a provision problem. It's become a pricing issue imo and these companies deserve it more and more everyday with the way they're going. It's pure price gouging moat times.

On topic, how are the maps in this game? Fun to play?

On the subject of rising prices, Sony just announced PS5 consoles will see an immediate price increase. At the moment, it's still 499 for PS5 Slim. I guess that'll jump up to 549 soon.

EDIT:
For 4.99 on PS5, I carefully read the listing on PSN store for the digital game, and it said "Online Optional", and 1 Player with Bots. Campaign and for Missions. The graphics look good, and I'm not a FPS fan, but I wanted to explore some of these maps just for the fun of it.

Turns out, the game IS playable offline and with Bots that you assign even in the Multiplayer modes while you are fully offline. I just finished a mission in the city with 3 other bot CPU players on my team. When buying the game, it forced a screen with PS Plus plans. I backed out of it with circle, and then it brought me to the confirm purchase screen to buy it. So I was able to avoid PS Plus entirely.

The campaign is more restrictive.

The mission are restrictive too but not as much. I wandered through some stores and got to the rooftop as the Police attack in waves. Not bad and good controls. Restrictive in that if you wander out of the play zone, the screen grays out and says return to the mission area BS. Maybe there is a mode that allows free roam? I'll check.

I'm a fan of Michael Madsen in some of his movies so I gave it a chance partly for that reason, but mostly to explore the environments offline.

Not too bad for 4.99.
