Sony not releasing a movie on 4K is sadly very normal and expected at this point. It'll end up being a boxset exclusive in a few years and then probably steelbook only, if they're even bothering then. Which by then, everybody will own the UK version instead.

Unless they surprise us and the 4K is MOD.

This will no doubt get a 4K steelbook release later this year, no way Sony bough NA rights just to dump it on BD.

Paddington goes public domain in 30 years so you'll have to wait for that film.

There could be plans to release the 4K on MOD as those typically show up a bit later.
