Tapes offer much more storage space than discs. It is just the bulky, hard to use(sequel read instead of random), slow speed kills them.

Acually I can as I have a video-usb conector
but to be honest i dont have a VHS player.

Prior to HD Tivo's/DVR's, DVHS was the only option to record HD off sat. I was pretty close to buying one myself...

Anyway you would need a D-VHS player! not you're standard VHS player... Also don't forget to rewind your tapes!

I won one. It's in my house. I've used it maybe 10 times. I have one movie, T2.

If I could figure out how to hook it up to my mac, I'd do a side business of dubbing old VHS to DVD for folks...

But I can't for the life of me get final cut pro to recognize it.
