Yeah, now I believe WB is buying Paramount, for sure.

Tom Cruise was to Paramount like Vin Diesel is to Universal.

This is pretty damn big.

He's a questionable human being, but Tom Cruise's knack for knowing what's cinematic and also his commitment to theatrical exclusivity in an era of streaming and VOD should be commended.

Side note: Tom Cruise's first order of business should be getting Nolan to come back and collaborate on something.

This is a big get. Big loss for Paramount unless this leads to WBD buying them.

insiders stress that cruise will continue to work with other studios, including paramount, for whom he’s currently shooting the next mission: Impossible film. And he’s making a space adventure movie for universal that will see him become to first civilian to walk outside of the international space station.

And then Universal will do a crossover with F9 in which Tom Cruise will have to deal with that Pontiac Fiero in space that's on a collision course with the ISS.

This is huge for WB. Tom Cruise is the biggest movie star in the industry.

I wonder if they make Nolan return too.

As much as I like Nolan if had he not jumped ship (at least temporarily who knows?) from WB - gaining Cruise at WB rather then keeping Nolan is much bigger. Looking at a longer more successful career. But just think getting the two of them together! Doubtful, but sounds fun.

I'll pretty much watch anything Tom produces, at this point. Little guy knows how to make an entertaining film.

Unfortunately he is wasting his time over at Netflix… I wish he would Delve back into a Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone, and The Shape of Water mood again. Totally original supernatural horror Fairytales and what not Mountains would be my #1 desired project for DelToro and Cruise cast Benicio in there as well.
