First off, Id like to apologize if this is the wrong place for this thread of if it's already been asked.. But I have noticed (mainly on Disney titles with slips) that when I try & remove the "combo pack" sticker from the slip that yes, it's pretty easy to remove, but I leave a small dent where I scratched the sticker to get it off.. Is there a method on getting these stickers off without leaving a dent..?

There's a Slipcover sub-forum and a thread addressed to the issue of stickers. |

The sticker itself comes off rather easy as it's not a plain paper sticker (those I definitely use goo gone for), it's a glossy one.. They come off easily once I get it pealed, but it sucks I still leave a tiny dent... I nearly had a melt down yesterday, lol... I actually wish they wouldn't put the stickers on them or just not issue slips a t all.. It causes me too much stress, lol...

![]() Seriously though, Goo Gone works quite well and the Citrus kind smells great. Last edited by PopcornBandit; 03-16-2013 at 07:39 PM. |

Actually, I would say just the opposite... Let one nail grow a little bit so it can get under the sticker corner. Nails are thin enough that it works on most stickers without using enough pressure to leave a dent. And I'm being serious.

The trick is to start at a corner and try not to even make contact with the slip, but get underneath the sticker... if that makes sense. You have to be gentle, there's an art to it but once you got it going, peel S L O W L Y.
How would one remove ones that have been on for 5 years and have really bonded well? |

Start one corner of the sticker by gently "lifting" it with the corner of a straight razor blade or a pointed Xacto blade knife, then carefully grab the corner of the sticker and peel it off gently using a slow but steady pulling force. Years of dissection practice helps ...

I would not use Goo Gone personally if I were you, I would try just getting a thick piece of tape and going over the surface with it (the sticker on the blu ray case works well too) to get residue off. If that fails someone suggested clorox wipes, that does the trick nicely too if you're careful. I would stay away from lighter fluid like some have suggested, I just don't think that's a risk or a step you need tp take just for a sticker.

For me, it's goo gone. I use a Q-tip and get enough goo gone to cover the tip. Then I applied the Q-tip it on the sticker itself. I let it sit 15 minutes, and the whole sticker comes off.
