Default EPSON LS12000 Projector issues

Hello all, just picked up the LS12000 to replace the 5040ub, and I have a lot of problems out of the gate.

Equipment list (note that all firmware is up to date, and HDMI cord specifications are a guess). All cords and settings were working with the same pathways while connected to the 5040ub.

RECEIVER
Pioneer VSX 933 (Hub)
15 or 20-foot in wall CL2 HDMI 2.0 (?) connects Projector to receiver.
Both HDMI and projector power cable share same pathway through celling / wall, out to power outlet.

SOURCES
Panasonic UB820P-K (4K player) / HDMI 2.1 to receiver
Sony UBP X700 (4K player) / HDMI 2.0 to receiver
Roku Ultra 4K (streamer) / HDMI 2.1 to receiver

I tested output from both HDMI ports on LS12000:

PROJECTOR SIGNAL OUT FROM HDMI2 (HDMI2 eARC ) port
Panasonic 4K – NO AUDIO , Video signal strength 100%. Image quality better than output from HDMI 1 port. I also tried HDMI 1 projector port, with 2.0 (?) cord out of Panasonic to Pioneer receiver, still no audio
Sony 4K – NO AUDIO NO VIDEO (static, window boxed)
Roku Ultra – Audio 100%, VIDEO DROPOUTS on all streaming apps (handshake issue?). There is also static visible on black menu screens, not as notable while playing content.

PROJECTOR SIGNAL OUT FROM HDMI1 Port
Panasonic 4K – NO AUDIO , Video signal strength 100%. I tried HDMI 1 port with 2.0 (?) cord out of Panasonic , still no audio
Sony 4K – NO AUDIO NO VIDEO (static, window boxed). Tried 2.1 Cord, same effect
Roku – Audio 100%, VIDEO DROPOUTS on all streaming apps. No static issues.

Panasonic 4K settings:
Dolby Audio / DTS set to Bitstream
BD-Video Secondary Audio is set to Off
HDMI (Video) Output Mode set to Auto
HDMI (Audio) Output Mode set to Audio
Viera link off

Video Status menu acknowledges no HDMI audio signal during disc playback

CEC is set to off on Pioneer receiver

I have already ordered 15 ft 2.1 HDMI cord for connecting the Projector to the Receiver, hopefully that will solve streaming app problems. Primary problem is why there is no audio for the Panny (and no signal at all for the Sony)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did you get any of this sorted? I have mine up and running the hdmi cables really don't want to work. Sometimes I get s picture sometimes I don't, it'll go and then come back. Flick off and go blue for two minutes before coming back on. Change a setting and it shits itself.

Epson is known for having really good customer service. If there are issues, I'd take it up with them.

Just remember to switch out HDMI cables after equipment is turned off/powered down. Don't hotswap. Not really the best practice, it could cause a short.
