Cinedigm will be releasing The Toxic Avenger (2023) on 4K on October 28th! The film stars Peter Dinklage, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon among others. There will be a regular edition that comes with a lenticular slipcover, a Steelbook edition, and one that includes the original Toxic Avenger on 4K as well. Extras include a commentary track with director Macon Blair, and a few other featurettes.

Just for those that don't know, the film, which was produced by Troma and Legendary had difficulty getting a distributor when it was first made back in 2023, with one studio saying it was "unreleasable" due to being too violent/graphic. Cinedigm recently acquired it, and are releasing in theaters in the US today!

I can guarantee this'll be in sdr just like their release of terrifer 3. I wonder if anyone else will offer the movie with hdr

Saw this last night. It was awesome! I highly recommend people go see it in theaters.

There's also a two pack with the OG up for preorder on Amazon! I'm going to wait for Umbrella to make their announcement since their release will have HDR.

This release is HDR10.

No offense, but their releases never feature HDR from what I've seen. Why would they start with this one? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to hear it because the film definitely deserves it.

I can understand your skepticism, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is a BD66 with HDR10.

Word!!! Pre-ordered the steelebook. When It arrives I'll be spending a long, long day watching it all. I'll start 5am ish and watch the complete series of Toxic Crusaders on blu. Then move to TA set in 4k. Then lastly watch the new one. Booyah!!!!

Went ahead and preordered the steel!

If it doesn’t have HDR or if reviews seem poor, I’ll cancel. So far it’s getting good scores from critics on RT (I know, not the best way to gauge).

Odd. I had that Terrifier 2 release before buying the Umbrella set and could've sworn it didn't feature HDR. I've never even heard of the other two.
