Default Tales from the Crypt Bordello of Blood

Does Dennis Miller realize he is suppose to be in a movie with other people? Or did he not read the script. All of his dialouge and actions feel like the others are not in on what he is doing.

Ah, Dennis Miller. I used to think he was funny... until I didn't. I liked Demon Knight a lot (still do), and was so disappointed by this TFTC follow-up. Even Chris Sarandon and a cameo by William Sandler can't save this movie.

The movie is so weird. Like Miller showed up and had no interest in being in this movie.

In an interview in Fangoria, actor Phil Fondacaro said Miller was a complete ass to everyone on set. I have a feeling he liked the money he was paid, and that's all.

It's doubtful the movie would have been great with a different actor, but I have a feeling it would have been better. Like you said, Miller didn't give a damn.

I love how the produce of this movie & the series itself (AL Katz) has an entire podcast dedicated to the making of this movie lol

Yeah, Miller tanked the whole thing. They even used the gag that had just been used in From Dusk till Dawn with the super soaker guns.

To heck with what everyone here says, I love this movie. Total cheese, but I thought it was great.

Have the Blu-Ray in my collection as well.

Yeah I love Bordello of Blood even more than Demon Knight and think Dennis Miller is great in it despite the issues on set. He has a lot of great lines.

Looks like he pulled a Snipes on Blade Trinity, and was not on set for a lot of the scenes. So the actors had to work from the new dialogue he created.

Yeah; I just read the Wikipedia article. It doesn't look like anybody involved with the movie likes it.

At least it was in focus.

It wasn't even supposed to be the second Tales from the Crypt. Director Gil Adler originally planned to film Dead Easy, a dark psychological horror film set in New Orleans as the second film. Production was cancelled during location scouting and Adler was told he had to film Bordello of Blood which was a script that Universal bought from series producer Robert Zemeckis to prevent him from leaving them and joining Dreamworks.

I make no qualms that Miller was basically a jerk toward this movie... but in all honesty, he was also the only real highlight of the film. The humor definitely helped raise the movie a bit from total mediocrity, but it's not that good of a movie. Demon Knight leaves this one behind in smoke trails.
