Moreover, HBO Max will be the exclusive streaming home new Warner Bros.-produced dramas for The CW starting with the fall 2019 season, including the DC Entertainment series “Batwoman,” and “Katy Keene” (a spinoff of “Riverdale”). CW shows going forward will be available on HBO Max beginning 30 days prior to the TV premiere of the next seasons of those shows.
Overall, HBO Max will combine content from HBO with a slate of originals and programming from Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, and Looney Tunes. https://variety.com/2019/digital/new...ng-1203262335/ |

$16-17 per month according to Wall Street Journal
https://www.wsj.com/articles/at-t-ey...ft-11559842992 TCM is the part that excites me most about this, that combined with Warner's Archive title will make this a great service if they put up the whole catalog. |

I'm one of those suckers who got a subscription to HBO Now for the last season of Game of Thrones, but kept it to watch Barry, Chernobyl and Big Little Lies. So, yeah I'm down for this. TCM is the real clincher. I also have the DC thing as a free promo, and while that's been a bit lackluster, I'm sure it'll be even better once Warner gets all their content back (DC movies, the CW shows from Netflix).

I was just reading some comments on an article at another site to which one person who commented about HBO Max made an excellent point. What he said was that "how many people aren't going to sign up for this service because they'll assume it's HBO-only content". It was the best comment I had ever heard of concerning the name of their new service.
I have to agree. "HBO Max" is a stupid name for it. They really need to call it something else because there's going to be a lot of what I can only call "branding confusion". Another comment that he made is that he thought that Warner Brothers is going to find out the same thing that everyone else is going to find out, that it's better to license their content out to other services and keep generating those licensing fees. Not a lot of people are going to watch old TV shows to the extent they'll pay for a subscription every month just for that privilege. I have to say that I kind of agree with the person who made those comments because I've been thinking the same thing. All of these streaming services are taking a big risk. I just don't see Warner Media licensing their content to Disney Plus or Hulu. They'll more than likely simply license their content out to Netflix and Amazon Prime. I would give it about six months to a year when we see all of these streaming services being cannibalized as they realize that they could have saved on the cost of their streaming services in favor of risk-free licensing ventures on their content. |

Also, Disney+ is Disney content, so it wouldn't make sense for Warner Bros. content. There is WB content on Hulu, but it's probably going to be pulled for HBO Max as soon as possible. |

$17+ is a joke, I don't even want to subscribe to Hulu for $13 lol Eventually every studio will have their own service and only produce shows for themselves and their networks and it'll be far more than cable ever hoped to be. That's not a good idea. |

Rooster Teeth: $2.99/month Crunchyroll: $7.99/month Boomerang: $4.99/month DC Universe: $7.99/month VRV: $9.99/month Cinemax: $9.99/month FilmStruck: $10.99/month HBO Now: $15.99/month Personally, I'd rather pay 17 than Netflix's 13 if it has a great catalog. Warner alone has got a way better selection than Netflix, and you're getting TCM titles. |

As for cost, it costs billions to launch these streaming services. Disney has already spent around 1 billion for Disney+ and it hasn't even launched yet. The cost is naturally higher though as it's a bundle deal, they know they can get more, so they're going to. |

Cartoon Network Adult Swim TBS TNT truTV CNN Boomerang People need to understand how much content WarnerMedia has and how much it has produced over 90 plus years over film and television. Seriously. |
