Infamous werewolf, Waldemar Daninsky has been brought back from the dead after a mortician carelessly removes a silver bullet from his heart. Great news for the original film! Unfortunately it appears the American cut, the one actually titled WEREWOLF VS THE VAMPIRE WOMAN, is not included. The international English dub is here, but the American version has different music, more edits, and different credits. A scan from a 35mm print of that version would have made the set the end all.

It says International Export Version , That's the American cut ?

What was played on USA tv way back ? I would have preferred that dub over a New English dub . Still exiting news for a 4K and I'm pre-ordering this very soon . Is this pre-order price good for the glossy slip ?

No, the International Export Version (Werewolf Shadow) is similar to the Spanish cut, just with nudity and two minor scenes removed that are only in the Spanish version. The American cut has more cuts (almost nudity free) and different score which many find more fitting.

This should be a SUPERB release, but should have been titled Werewolf Shadow since the American edit appears to not be included.

This should be a SUPERB release, but should have been titled Werewolf Shadow since the American edit appears to not be included.

It is annoying when it's released under one title, yet that version is not included, especially when it contains a different score and such than the uncut version.

I kind of wish The Grim Reaper cut of Anthropophagus was available along side the uncut version, since again, it has a different score, that is actually creepy in spots. And it's always nice to compare the versions and everything.

I watched it Halloween night. It looked and sounded great. I started watching it with Spanish audio, but then noticed that the lip movements were actually in English, so I just switched it over to the English dub and that was much better. I hate dubs, but this one actually goes with what people are actually saying onscreen.

If the English audio matches the lip movements, wouldn't that make the Spanish audio the dub?

Yes, but the way it's been worded on the release indicates otherwise. I figure because this is the international uncut version that contains the female nudity.

The Spanish track is labeled something like original audio and the English dub is literally labeled as "English dub."

I have not watched the other versions contained on the separate discs -- this is a 3-disc set.

Indeed. It reminded me of the Sergio Leone western films he did.

In Werewolf, it looked like all the women spoke English originally, which is why I stuck it out with the English dub all the way through.
