Default Fox Releasing Raising Arizona, Blood Simple and Miller's Crossing on 8/30

The Coen Brothers Collection Blu-ray

The Coen Brothers Collection Blu-ray Review

Miller's Crossing Blu-ray

Raising Arizona Blu-ray

Blood Simple Blu-ray

Didn't see a topic on this, so I figure I would post: on 8/30, fox will be releasing the Coen brothers' Raising Arizona, Blood Simple, and Miller's Crossing. Each will be released separately, and as part of a collection with the already released Fargo.

According to Digital Bits, all DVD special features will carry over. Didn't mention anything about transfer.

It sucks that they aren't releasing "Barton Fink" with the rest of the Fox-controlled Coen movies.

It would have made much more sense to release Barton Fink with the other three instead of Fargo. Most blu-ray enthusiasts/Coen fans, myself included, already own Fargo.

About friggin' time! Two weeks after Lebowski. I wonder if Criterion has Barton Fink rights. Seems odd it would not be released with the others. Now we need O Brother Where Art thou? But since it is DI$NEY we may never see it.

I realize rumors of the releases had been posted before, but I figured it would be useful having a thread now that they have an official release date. Plus this groups all three into one place.

I take it Blood Simple will be the same "Director's Cut" release that Universal put out a few years back?

Friggin' finally! I've had Blood Simple on pre-order for what seems to be ages now. I'll pass on the box set though, as I really dislike Raising Arizona, and the existing Fargo disc looks pretty crappy.

No information yet but, sine the extras are supposed to match dvd extras, I would think so.

On the other hand this is a fox release and not universal, so we will have to wait for confirmation from fox.

Great news indeed, I love Raising Arizona and Miller's Crossing is damn good. Still need to check my DVR for the saved Blood Simple.
