Blu-ray Samurai

I am searching for Region A player for some time and don't want to buy a modded one because of cost factor. For me importing directly from Amazon US is cost effective.
So I was reading that Sony blu ray players have internal power converter and it supports both 110-240v regardless of what region I am from. Is it true? If its true then I can just buy a Region A player and plug it in my socket which has a multiplug that accepts all plug designs. Or do I need something else as well? What are the chances of me frying the unit? Or is it safe to plug and play? I am region B and have voltage 220v 50 htz. Actually 230v but that's similar to 220 and all units designed for 220 works perfectly here. ![]() So there is no confusion between 220 and 230 but tye only confusion is that how much is it guaranteed that a Sony blu ray player accepts all voltages. Please help. |
