Great use of creepy music/sound in the trailers IMO, gave me chills without anything scary even happening.

David Koep co-wrote Spider-Man 1 2003 from what I see, but also Dial of Destiny. We'll see how this turns out, but the trailer has my attention with the sounds, music, horror/ghost tone.

Presence is in theaters January 24, 2025, this Friday. My theater only has 5 or 6 show times so far.
I just hope it doesn't end up in the final act as an Exorcism movie where someone gets possessed and the Priest shows up and all that drama. I've seen too many of those already.

Yeah, that was some scene.

The line after the ghost asks the other one “Who are you waiting for?”
And the reply, “I can’t remember”.

That line and moment stuck with me for months.

I enjoy the movie aside from the pie scene, to me it ruined the movie. I GET it, but its like, we didn't need to sit there for that long watching her eat an entire pie. I still have never revisted it, maybe someday.

If someone has seen an advanced screening, or sees it this weekend, can you please answer a few questions for me without specifics/spoilers

1. It's Rated R, and it notes for violence among other things. Without spoiling, can you tell me HOW violent/gory. I don't mind it I watch a ton, but my wife is interested in the movie, but she hates excessive violence/gore.

2. Is is just a ghost floating POV around for 90ish minutes, or is there more to it. Don't have to tell me specifics, I just don't want to walk into another Skinamarink or Enter the Void where it's just tedious.
