What is the best version of this on blu? From what I can gather the French copy is and it says region free. Anyone have it and can confirm that? Ive held out for the studio canal digi but its never happened and im not waiting any longer. Thanks

The French disc has imposed French subtitles. The technical presentation isn't enormously impressive either.

This is a comparison of the new Studio Canal 4K transfer vs the old VC-1 disc.

Due to the long and varied nature of the film this resulted in a large amount of screencaps. I got server errors trying to upload them to one folder so I had to separate it into three sets:

Are there forced subtitles? That was kinda lame about the old release.

There’s actually a way around it on the old disc tho. You have to pick either of the other spoken languages, pick “none” in the subtitle pop up, go back to the spoken languages and choose English, then instead of picking a subtitle, you just press the left arrow and exit out. English dialog with no subtitles.
