Germany The 4:30 Movie (Kevin Smith, November 2024)

Hmmm. Red State was excellent. Red State, Chasing Amy and the great Clerks are the only films I've gotten all the way through from Smith.

Does anyone know if the US Lionsgate release is Region Free or not or should I wait for the German release? We don't appear to be getting any physical release at all in the UK so I want to weigh up my options. Are Lionsgate releases usually region free?

I can't think of any US Lionsgate releases that aren't locked.

US has a 4K so that gets around the locking issue for the 4K anyway:

US Blu-ray:

Life's easier with multiregion.

I've not seen it yet but if I like it I'll go for the 4K.

Not possible for me as I move around three different rooms and can't afford to kit all of them out towards the end of a format's lifespan, all for a grand total of about a dozen Criterion/Shout/Kino titles I can't get a good B variant of, plus I am never going 4K as am resolutely no-more-formats and my eyesight's going.

Germany it is! It will go nicely with my German Dogma, my Spanish Jersey Girl, my American Clerks II/Zack & Miri and my Italian Tusk...
