CG vs Models in Movies

Not even close IMO.

Real models = more wow factor. Because you know somebody had to create the thing not on a computer chip, but in REALITY, and then they had to animate it not with mouse clicks and keyboard strokes, but with acutal moving objects.

Another subconscious + for models is that you KNOW they exist in reality, whereas you know the CG thing is not really there, subconsciously

Just look at the difference between the modeled Yoda and CG Yoda
