Quite frankly , movies are a nice thing to look forward to enjoying on blurays, but also great FILMS , THX1138 is one HELL of a conceptual docufiction shot on location, in the future, of man's mindless thinking and a stuning exploration of Mass Alienation taken to frightening extremes, and the sad fact is that he isn't wrong, exquisitely executed in terms of content AND form

also in the interesting image and thought context American Graffitti is I have to say a widely awaited FILM, not to mention maaany many many others by many other Auteurs ...

I would love to have THX-1138 on BD great movie...

...but probably too many people will come on this thread to complaint that Lucas is a loser

That's a neat trick. Did he do the same with Star Wars? How about American Grafitti, was that filmed on location, in the past?

Just playing with you, no offense meant

I too, am greatly awaiting this film to be released on Blu. I've certainly put in many hours on the DVD release a few years back.

So, your just building up the film?

Building up the film, well yes, I WHISH that it would actually make GGL-1944 ([G]eorge [G]eorge [L]ucas born in [1944]) release the film on Bluray while we're still alive, BUT (in my dreams) I'm tempted to say,
As for the "shot on location in the future", no offence taken of course, it's just my way of seeing this film, I also whish that the brilliant diploma "THX1138-4EB Electronic Labyrinth" with it's cutting edge cinematic language, be it experimental cinema and Video art mingled up with other genres too, be part of the special features much like it is on the DVD version

THX-1138 most definitely provided ideas for Lucas' future Star Wars franchise. I enjoyed the film more because I really wanted to see where Lucas was coming from. It's really a must-see for any Star Wars fan.

You forgot the rolling text at the beginning of Star Wars??? It started out with:

"A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY..."

It's all good, I'm also just playing!

THX1138 was a great movie. I was lucky to pickup the collectors edition in DVD format at Suncoast for $4.99. I might double dip when this movie is released in BLU.
