That would make sense since the other two live action films are by different studios, and why would one put out the 1st by itself if the other doesn't put the 2nd out by itself.

Never seen these, but have started reading the comics recently, so may pick these up then. Pretty cool they got a 4k nonetheless though, even with the new film coming out, would have never thought it would happen seeing as they're animated. Now Universal just needs to do a 4k for Golden Army.

I have added "Animated" to the thread title, but in my defense I must say that all the retailers list it as "Hellboy Double Feature".

I agree, Hellboy 1+2 is much more interesting but never thought we would see the cartoons get a 4k release. I actually kept the dvds and put it with the blu-ray in a 3 disc case. So, I more than likely will jump on this once it is released.

That's actually a pretty good selection of bonus features, was expecting like 2 or 3 short featurettes. I imagine they'll drop the video game trailer, and maybe the dvd rom content, but that would be nice if they carried over everything else.

Will have to wait and see on these. There's a good chance they are like the DC releases and have little benefit from the format.

I guess Lionsgate wanted something to tie in with for their new Hellboy movie and this was the only thing they had in their library due to their acquisition of Anchor Bay. I just upgraded my DVDs to the barebones Blu-ray edition last year and I'm really not expecting these to look that amazing in 4K.

Lionsgate has a pretty good track record of that don't they? Off the top of my head, I believe they added missing features for the Punisher and some other barebones titles.

I was considering picking up the Blu-ray recently, but would also want to buy the DVDs for the special features. So if this comes with a 4K copy and all the special features, then that's the way to go. Guess I'll keep an eye out for more details.

I already tried, the upc listed is 13 numbers, and the site will only accept 12 or 14 numbers for upcs. I tried doing so without one, just the best buy sku, and the site moderators rejected it and said the best buy page is not showing up and they need another source besides Barnes & noble before it can be accepted.

Where did you get the cover image from? A 3rd listing?
