Default How do I auction my stuff (Blu rays, DVDs, books, CDs, posters etc

Hi folks

I want to auction/sell all my stuff which is in storage in North London. I am hoping someone here might have some knowledge of how to go about this.

I have an extraordinary large amount of items related to the cinema, and also quite a lot of CDs. I have many many rare out of print collectors items which sell for massive, astronomical amounts on eBay, Amazon Marketplace etc, like Blu rays, massive Blu Ray Boxsets (Bergman/Fellini/Mizoguchi/Ozu/Tarkovsky etc), DVDs, CDs, books, rare movie posters, a 48 inch LCD TV, and numerous other items to many to list here. I had been collecting these items for more than 20 years. I have at least 1500 different films, possibly more.

At least 50% of this stuff is out of print, and most of it is related to World Cinema, Art House movies, the Criterion Collection, Westerns, Japanese cinema, Korean cinema, Italian/French etc. I have a HUGE amount books on the great film directors, Bergman, Kurosawa, Fellini, Ford, Kubrick, Peckinpah, Polanski, Leone, Tarkovsky, Mizoguchi, Ozu, Imamura, Dreyer and numerous others, too many to list here, numerous books on Japanese Cinema and Westerns and cinema from all over the world. Around 80% of this stuff is in either New or Like New condition.

I also have a large collection of rare, out of print film posters, mostly originals, not copies, which are going for ridiculous amounts online (ie. the Tartan Films posters for the 2007 re-release of The Seventh Seal and Persona, which are highly sought after and very difficult to find).

How do I go about selling this stuff? It's breaking my heart to have to sell it all, but I have been out of work for the past several years due to serious illness and I have to sell it as I need the money, and I cannot afford to pay for the storage costs anymore. I have contacted several auction houses in London but most of them didn't even reply, and the one who did said they don't deal with this type of thing.

Any advice or guidance greatly appreciated. Many thanks
