Both the Potemkine store and Amazon state both tracks. Normally I avoid dubs but since it’s Allen we have no idea what happens with the film in English territories, so this may be the best we’re getting for now. I’ll definitely buy a copy.

This has been rumored to have a US distributor. Likely it is MPI Home Video, who've released Allen's last two films in the US. They gave them limited releases in just NYC and LA and PVOD, and then gave them blu ray and DVD releases. This will likely be the same.

What would be cool -and has happened with multiple European films in the past- is they shoot 2 films: 1 in English and 1 in French.

That's a much bigger market.

I was just thinking that. If he actually shot it direct sound in both, and it's not dubbed, that's great.

There are some cases where that happens like Anna Christie, Dracula, The Blue Angel, The Threepenny Opera, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, The Message, Polytechnique, Kon-Tiki, Baahubali: The Beginning, Major, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and series like Keeping Faith.

Yeah, it would be amazing because I'm sure it could double the audience for the film I'd imagine. The more people watching the better.

Obviously it would be good for Allen too as he'd find funding a little bit easier (Polanski has shopped around in Europe for decades). Many of these actors are polyglot too so it would totally manageable for the production I'd imagine.

The film has a distributor in Australia as well - Sharmil Films who do release some of their films on DVD and/or Blu Ray through Madman - so here's hoping.

The film has been in limited release in cinemas since 26 December but its impossible to say whether it will be streaming only, DVD or Blu Ray once it hits home viewing.

imdb trivia page for the film states a quote from Woody Allen in February 2023:

"Coup de Chance (2023) is a contemporary story of romance, passion and violence set in contemporary Paris. Shot all over the city and a little bit in the countryside, it evolves around a romance between two young people who are old friends and devolves into marital infidelity and ultimately crime. It stars very gifted French actors and actresses, is all in the French language and looks very beautiful as photographed by the great cinematographer, Vittorio Storaro. The rest I'll leave to surprise."

He says it's all in French and doesn't give any indication of filming it in English as well.

Of the four main actors in the film I know Valérie Lemercier can speak English but I don't know about the other 3 main actors or any of the other actors in the film.

Ironically the funniest performance in the film comes from an actress (in a small supporting role) who is given no dialogue in the film but is crucial to the narrative.
