Default Kajillionaire - Miranda July (September 18, 2020)

Quote:
From acclaimed writer/director Miranda July comes a profoundly moving and wildly original comedy. Con-artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins) have spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) into joining their next scam, only to have their entire world turned upside down.
Director: Miranda July

Cast: Evan Rachel Wood, Richard Jenkins, Gina Rodriguez, Debra Winger

I hated Miranda July's Me and You and Everyone We Know. But this looks great.

How in the name of all that is holy in this world did this movie not warrant a blu-ray release?!?! I know that generally all physical media sales are lower than digital sales, but what makes them think a dvd of THIS movie specifically will sell that much more than a blu-ray that it makes it unworthy to release it physically in hd?

Ugh. How is there no blu-ray for this? Is there any indication that Criterion may release a blu-ray of it? I know they released Me And You And Everyone We Know earlier this year on blu-ray.

At least the digital version would be in HD.

I really enjoyed this movie, but omg, I wanted to murder her parents.

UHD

Tempting, but not sure I'd like the movie. Is there any good music in it?

update: I did find a soundtrack and sampled the music. I think I have to pass on this.

I hate the fact this wasn't released on blu ray. But, this was a must own after seeing it.

I thought Miranda July would have been a new find in writer/director, she isn't. Her other films are really bad.

For what it's worth, there is a Blu-Ray now.

There wasn’t when that user posted almost 2 years ago.

Was that the movie with John Hawkes?
