Question What has happen to Hollywood?

I watch lot of movies and TV shows of 90s and before and never really had problem like this, but seems blue ray you can never hear people talking and have to turn the volume up to 70 or higher, but sound effects and other sound get very loud at even 20 so unless you don’t want to wake up the people next door you always turning the TV volume up when they talk and turn the volume down when they are not talking.

Why is Hollywood doing this? Why is it you have to turn the volume up to 70 or higher to hear them? But all other sounds get very loud at volume 20?

With blue ray it like you can never hear people talking and have to turn the volume up to 70 or higher to hear them. But all other sounds get so loud it is like you want to wake everyone up on your street at even volume 20.

You may want to get your hearing checked.

If you're listening through an AVR check the level of your center speaker.

This ain’t about picture quality.

Pretty much every 4K Marvel/Disney film= lackluster sound. I always have to bump up the volume and the audio is still rather unremarkable.

Has Disney ever really been known for reference discs?

They were pretty good during the early days of Blu-ray. Heck…many say to get the ‘07 release of Pirates over the 4K which is DNR’d to death. But yeah…not many reference 4K Disney titles.

To hear people talking I have to turn the volume up to 70 or higher, but sound effects or other sounds volume at 20 or 15.

So the sound effects and other sounds are like 10 times louder than people talking.

I have a 65-inch HDTV with built-in speakers and no external sound system. All my Blu-Rays look and sound just fine, and I only have to keep my volume at around 20% power.

Recall noticing that even when I first got into dvd over two decades ago. But vhs tended to have a hotter midrange in comparison. My hearing's much worse compared to back then, though.

It's for real. THe guy who lives acorss the hall from me, you can hear the sound effects of his blockbuster movies from three doors down. I asked if he has a hearing problem; he says, "no I just need to hear the dialogue".
