No 4K UHD is a crying shame if true. I guess we can pray for a UK release.

I don’t think a UK BD would be until at least August (it hits MUBI in July following theatrical this month), extras would likely be sparse and they’ve never released any 4K titles.

Already bought the German Blu-ray. Can’t be bothered to wait several months.

IFC is too small to do 4K releases. The only hope would have been if it was licensed to Criterion.

Who, in my opinion, can’t even get Blu-ray right half the time.

I bought the German 4K release, haven’t gotten around to watching it, so now I’m debating whether I watch the disc or see it in the cinema!

as you know 4k isn't gonna happen for any film. unless it does big box office/is a catalog title. the rules are almost set in stone.

In a diminishing physical media market, they should announce things sooner some of these companies, already got the German release which is decent and has great English subs and the extras are in English anyway.

No mention of HDR and on 66GB disc for Mubi release, where as the German 4k has both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, plus 100GB disc. Sure the Disc size isn't that big a deal but not having HDR means i'd swing for the German release. I'll check it out on Mubi first when it streams, see if it's good.

Yep, I’m giving my money over for the German discs several times a year because I don’t want to wait 3-5 months for the equivalent title here. As well as this film, I also picked up Shadow In The Clouds 4K, The Mortuary Collection 4K and The Lodge amongst others.

Well, that would be asking MUBI to release the film last year, than having them announce a disc before they’ve released it in cinemas and risk cannibalising admissions.
