Back in June I heard about an app called Google Opinion Rewards and decided to check it out. They give you quick little surveys (1 to 5 questions) every few days and you earn money towards your Google Play balance. I just did my 40th survey to pass the $10 mark and picked up a Movie Anywhere eligible movie (so it would port to Vudu, iTunes, ect) for $9.99 on Google Play TV & Movies. I definitely recommend checking this out. Sadly, pretty much everything else I want is $17.99 (thanks Disney) so it will probably take about 3 months for the new free movie purchase. The things we do for free movies.

After 3 years of surveys, I've earned $120.
Whatever you do, don't try to manipulate surveys. By opting-in to this app, you are sharing your location information with Google, so if you lie and say you visited a place you didn't, they will know. They also throw in questions about places that do not exist, so obviously don't say you've visited there. Liars get less surveys, and eventually no surveys. You'll average between $.15 to $.50 per survey. If you get $.10, the minimum for completing a survey, basically that's Google's way of telling you, "We know you're lying about this response." Do that too many times, and you're on the blacklist. |

I've got a decent amount from them but usually don't get too many surveys. Last time I had rewards I used them on Jetsons complete series for $5 and Big Bang Series seasons 1-10 bundle for $15. GP sales usually suck. Once I get enough I'll probably buy a Touchstone movie that never goes on sale. |

Damn, this list really makes me wish that you could use Disney Movie Rewards points for digital codes. |

Most of those don't have codes but a few of them do. It'd be easiest for you to just buy a digital HD code from someone in the communities, like for Incredibles 1 & 2 for example. Unbreakable is currently on sale at Vudu for $9.99 which makes it a great time to buy it. Its not on sale too often. |

I grabbed Unbreakable. Hopefully the sale will last so I can grab Armageddon as well. |

I'm gonna give it a try too. There are still a few MCU films that I never got digital copies for so this could work. I used to do Bing Rewards for that but decided $5 Amazon gift cards would go towards better things than digital movies.

I have a cousin who works in marketing and was telling me that certain demographics are more in demand than others so semi-jokingly suggested I should be a young adult hispanic male in my online persona to maximize perks. I'm not sure if that factors into Google Opinion's reward matrix but they might be matching demographic characteristics to payout.

Give it time you will probably get your first one within a day. Like others said, they are somewhat random. You might get two in a day and then go four days without one. They last 12 hours so plenty of time to do it. Make sure your notifications are on so you don't miss them. My last survey gave me $0.41 so it all depends on the number of questions, ect. Good luck!

I've been using it since January 2014 and have earned over $500. It's great. The most I ever received at once was $4.24. Usually the questions net between $0.10-$0.60, with the amount dependent on how in-depth/invasive the questions are. Demographics certainly do come into play, but it's really about where you go. I receive several questions a week, but I travel a lot, so I'm hitting a wider range of locations than most people do on average.
Also extremely important: You need to have Location History turned on. If you don't have this on, you will get a question from time-to-time, but they'll be infrequent. If you have it on, you'll get many more questions. Not necessarily true. You'll also get the $0.10 amount if you're presented with a list of places, but you haven't been to any of them and you answer truthfully by choosing none. This occurs when you were at a place very close to one on the list, and Google wasn't able to pinpoint your exact location. It's usually not a trick question to see if you're truthful. You were close enough for it to trigger the question. Happens to me frequently. |
