Default A95L Potentially Fatal Error, advice needed

Twice now, my A95L has failed to start normally. When this happens, a red light blinks 5 times on repeat. It comes on after fiddling with the remote for a bit but on googling it, I found that this indicates a specific type of error which is potentially hardware related.

Sure enough, upon accessing the service menu I found that they TV had twice encountered the "tcon_err_I2c" error. This may indicate a problem with the main board.

Now, I may not be entirely screwed. I paid for the extra warranty coverage through Best Buy. Although I think that only picks up after the manufacturer warranty ends.

How should I handle this? Seek resolution immediately or wait for the Sony warranty to end before leaning on Best Buy?

If anyone has first hand knowledge of these types of errors that would also be nice to hear about.

TV is past the return window BTW

How do you turn it on?

My A95K would sometimes do this when I tried to turn it on.

Turns out it did this when I hit the TV button on the remote rather than than the power button. For some reason it won't just don't on that way like other TVs.

It doesn't do it if I hit the power button, and it's lasted years. Though I sometimes get a surprise to turn it on to coloured screens (this will be it's routine housekeeping after X number of hours use).

When yours does this, could you have pressed the TV button by mistake?

I usually let the player device turn on the TV through HDMI CEC. In this case, the PS5 should have turned on the TV. The PS5 passes signal through a Denon receiver. (AVR-760h). I am not sure what device was supposed to initiate turn-on last time.
