Turbine Media will release Crying Freeman (1995) in 4K UHD.

OMFG!

I hope it's every bit as good of a transfer as the French Blu-ray is.

I'm not familiar with Turbine Media though, how are they with releases?

Turbine already released Crying Freeman on Blu-ray.

Same transfer as the French BD but it also contains English Subs - I'm quite happy with it.

I assume the 4K will use the same transfer?

Thanks, I didn't know that.

We should be good then with this 4K release.

Really excited about this one! I'll still be keeping my French steelbook because of the Crying Freeman OVA in HD though. I wish some western company would release the entire OVA series on Blu-ray...

Yep, they are massively hit and miss but will have a good look this

Quite a few of the extras on the German Blu-ray weren’t English friendly just so people are aware.

This will hopefully be very nice. Did the blu-ray from Turbine have eng subtitles of the few japanese language scenes if played with english soundtrack?

Yes, it does. Bought it, despite owning the French steel already, because of it.

I have only watched the first french blu long ago, never got around the german but still own the limited french Metropolitan dvd

Where are you located? Looks like neither Amazon nor Turbine are taking US orders for this at the moment.

Germany is a neighboring country over here.

Just to be sure, I emailed them beforehand and they acknowledged they will ship to my country.
