Based on the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning novella by Barry Longyear, Enemy Mine (1985) weaves the story of two warring soldiers: a good old American boy (Dennis Quaid) and his reptilian-if-humanoid counterpart (Louis Gossett, Jr.) from the planet Drac, both stranded on a hostile and alien world. Initially at potentially mortal loggerheads, the pair soon move from grudging cooperation to genuine companionship as they struggle to survive. Directed by Wolfgang Petersen (Das Boot, The Perfect Storm), this intriguing blend of space opera and morality tale features a score by the great Maurice Jarre, available here as an isolated track.

This is their first offering that is tempting to me.

The only DVD I was ever able to find was a double-feature with Alien Nation (completely unrelated movie).

I don't think this movie ever sold well... but it is a good movie, just not big with the fans.

I bet, unfortunately, this one doesn't sell out any time soon...I like it, and it might even tempt me to spring for a Twilight Time release as much as I hate the pricing model... but I bet this one stays in stock for a while.

It is a movie I recommend to anyone who liked sci-fi and also a movie with a soul to it.

Dennis Quaid is good, as is Louis Gossett Jr.

I generally liked the movie when I rented it years ago. I didn't think I'd want to own it, but heck, on high-def I'll probably order it.

"Enemy Mine" is just a SciFi remake of "Hell In The Pacific"... a much better film IMHO.

I'd rather pay $30 and have some of my favorite films in 1080p and lossless audio versus 480p and lossy audio, but that's just me.

I saw this in college and at first I was like....eh, this is kinda lame....15 minutes later I'm thinking..."what's up with this film?" ... as in I was so captivated by it and how really well done it was. I'm gonna get this!

This will be my 2nd Twilight Time purchase (Fright Night was the 1st), never thought this would get a blu release, so I don't mind spending a bit more for it.

I have Mysterious Island and I will have Night of the Living Dead (1990) and Enemy Mine. I can assure you of that.
