Quick question.

I heard that turning off a Plasma Screen tv by using the Power button on the tv itself can shorten the life of the tv, is this true?

What's the difference? You'll shorten the life of the power button, I guess

never heard this, but I'm assuming it takes more energy to fully power on/off, and if you turn it off with the remote it goes to a sort of standby mode???????
