I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the UK disc has player-generated subtitles whereas the US one has them burned in...

I will always buy from the UK rather than anywhere else when I can, but player-generated subs really bug me. That's why I sold my UK Mummy and bought the US one instead.

Can anyone confirm re: the subtitles before I head to Sainsburys on Monday to pick this up? Thanks.

The jap. UHD is the UHD from Fox which also sold in Europe - no Burn in Subs.

Anyone got an opinion on the colour differences between them? Clearly more saturated on the Fox disc.

Sainsburys only have big new releases in 4K unfortunately, they don't sell catalogue titles unless part of a box set with a new release.

yeah the FOX release looks wrong, colors look over cooked and some stuff in shade vs. shadow doesn't seem to get the proper tone

Paramount disc has colors looking more natural

Given the playback issues I won't be buying it any time soon, it'll work on my Panny but I'd rather have a corrected disc and wait for it to pop up in a decent offer so it'll be a while crocodile.
