Being released on the its 20th anniversary! I already dropped my 4k disc into the old steelbook, but I don't mind the quote on the back, its better than the stupid image on the back of the original steelbook.

Not a fan of the artwork - they could have done so much better with the front and back...but I love this movie. I'll probably get this. Really hoping it's Dolby Atmos or DTS:X.

Feels like the kind of artwork that would be part of a bigger wave during the height of Blu-ray days, especially with the use of a quote on the back.

Was this even worth the 4k upgrade? Early 2000s DV is as good as it's gonna get, yeah? I wonder if they just scanned from the negative that they printed at the time.

War of the Worlds 4K Steelbook with flat finish over the BD Steelbook which had embossing.

Apart from a few select scenes, this was filmed on a HDCAM at 1080p, within a 2K DI, so there is no printed negative to scan. It's a good upscale, with DV. The disc has been out since 2020.
