Finally! I would rather Scream Factory have given this one a collector's edition or it be a Presents release, but I will take this!

So the two titles I do go and get of Imprint's are now being released domestically. Ah well...my impatient nature strikes again! (The other was A PLACE IN THE SUN.)

I love Paramount's commitment to physical media. I hope the print they have is in good shape. Lady Sings the Blues was a mess. I haven't heard great things about most of these non restored titles.

I figure if I hadn't bought the Imprint disc of this, one of my favorite films, for $50, this would never have been announced, haha, so I don't mind.

Of course, I'll buy the Paramount edition too.

I don't know, at the currently listed price as OP linked above, I kind of doubt this will be anything special or "Paramount Presents" -- so I'm happy with the IMPRINT copy I ordered, as well, with its very nice slipcover!

Here's another DVD to Blu-ray cover art conversion for everyone. Free feel to grab a copy if you like.

I adore this film so much that I'll buy the Paramount edition even if it's just the fiilm, commentaries and trailer, as the DVD was.

If it makes you feel any better, the Paramount version will most certainly be better encoded. Most of the Imprint versions, especially compared to their US counterparts, don't have the best encoding/compression.

And that’s the key right there. DEAD AGAIN’s Australian BD also uses an ancient (though not at all unwatchable) master, so I have every finger crossed this is from a fresher scan.

If this has a better transfer/encode than the Aussie release, I'll double dip.

As much as I despise Amazon and would prefer people buy BDs from virtually anywhere else, they’re the first I’ve seen have a preorder come up: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099ZRXRFX

I had a theory that this would prove to be the elusive Paramount Presents #25 (since BREAKDOWN was announced as #26 when we’d not yet been told of a #25), but the cover art and $13.99 price tag torpedoed that idea. In fact, at that price point, I’m not even confident now that this will be a new scan instead of the ancient one I already have on the Australian Imprint edition.

Where are you seeing the cover art? The Amazon link doesn’t have the cover up when I click it.

Not the first, look at the OP, Bullmoose has had it available for preorder since June.

Good call. Dammit, as much I adore BullMoose.com, the fact that some of their preorders don’t come up when you perform a title search on their website (only appearing if you do a UPC search) is aggravating.
