Default Film Series Where The Films Are Owned By More Than One Studio

This is something I thought would be fun; Let's name film series where the film themselves are owned by more than one studio. I'll start with some examples:

Child's Play/Chucky:
-Child's Play (Original and Remake): MGM
-Child's Play 2 - onward: Universal

Phantasm:
-Phantasm I, III, IV, and V: Well Go USA/Starway International
-Phantasm II: Universal (North America), Starway International (International)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:
-The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Dark Sky Films
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: MGM
-Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning: New Line/Warner
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation: Sony
-Texas Chainsaw 3D and Leatherface: Lionsgate
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022): Legendary/Netflix

Hellraiser:
-Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II: Lakeshore/RLJ Entertainment
-Hellraiser III-VIII: Miramax/Paramount
-Hellraiser: Revelations and Hellraiser: Judgement: Dimension/Miramax/Lionsgate
-Hellraiser (2022): Hulu/Fox/Disney (North America), Paramount (International)

Horror seems to be the genre that changes hands the most.

Currently finishing up a George Romero Living Dead marathon and he discussed the same thing in a interview. None of this Dead films are owned by the same person, which resulted in him being legally unable to connect any together, with the exception of Diary and Survival. It gets worse when you factor in the remakes and "sequels". It's crazy how there are 3 other Day of the Dead movies (and a TV series) that basically have nothing to do with the original film, the creators just used the rights to the title.

The four live-action Hellboy movies (including the upcoming) are also all separated (Sony, Universal, Lionsgate, Millennium). Same for the two Pacific Rim movies (Warner and Universal, connected by Legendary) though at least their video distribution is under one roof now.

The US rights to the Paddington movies (1 is with Lionsgate/Spyglass, 2 is with WB, and the third one will be released by Sony).

Clerks is with Paramount/Miramax, Clerks II is Lionsgate/Spyglass, and Clerks III is Lionsgate by themselves. To say nothing of other View Askewniverse movies.

The MCU

Disney owns everything except for the Spider-Man features, which are owned by Sony.

(Sony also has the rights to Spider-Man and related characters to make movies that are not MCU, like Madame Web and Kraven).

The current rights to the "Friday the 13th" franchise are a mess. New Line Cinema (Warner Bros.) owns the trademark for the Friday the 13th title. Original screenwriter of the first movie Victor Miller won a legal battle for the rights for his original script. And finally, Horror Inc. and original director/producer Sean S. Cunninghman control the rights to the other films.

I should've mixed it up, but then I wouldn't have everyone else get a turn.

The Halloween franchise is a ragtag of different production companies through the years. The first one was an independent film.

Licensing right for STAR WARS: A New Hope were held by 20th Century Fox up until 1997, they financed the film. Lucas personally financed the sequels himself making them 100% owned by Lucasfilm.

Wasn't the first Hellboy produced by Sony and its sequel by Universal?

And now Disney owns both Lucasfilm and Fox.

The Evil Dead, independently produced, originally distributed by New Line, later acquired by Anchor Bay, who was then bought by Lionsgate, now the film is with Sony.

Evil Dead 2, independently produced and distributed, picked up by Anchor Bay, later picked up by Lionsgate.

Army of Darkness, MGM/Universal production who rights are split depending on country. Universal distributes the film in the US but MGM controls the merchandise rights and international distribution.

Evil Dead '13 - Sony

Ash vs Evil Dead - Lionsgate

Evil Dead Rise - New Line

--
So Evil Dead started at New Line who also produced the most recent film, while the original is now with Sony who produced the reboot, while the first two films were once under the same house twice but are split again. And that's not even getting into the more complicated situations with other various distributors.

The Incredible Hulk is owned by Universal though.
The rights reverted to Disney last year. Check out the movie as available for sale on YouTube and Disney is listed as provider.

Indiana Jones . The first four were made by Paramount. Dial of Destiny was made by Disney (although Paramount was given a credit).

The Muppet movies.
Most of the theatrical movies are now owned by Disney. Except Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets from Space. They are owned by Sony.

Swamp Thing is one that comes to mind for me
OG Wes Craven movie - Embassy Pictures
Return of Swamp Thing - Lightyear Entertainment
1990 TV Series - MCA/Universal
Animated Series - DiC Entertainment
2019 Series - WB

WB not having the rights to the previous releases is why the movies and the first show aren't on Max or ever mentioned by DC

When did that happen? Last I heard, Universal still had first distribution rights to the Hulk, which is why another solo film about him was never made.

One to one and half years ago, maybe two.

And Universal still owns Hulk (2003) as I said earlier.

Oh, okay - I was thinking that maybe the She-Hulk series was made due to a "shared rights" situation, similar to Sony with Spider-Man.
