Default Weinstein Company?

Now that all the big players have made their announcements, I was wondering if anyone had any news about the weinstein compnay's future HD plans. I remember reading something a long time ago that they choose HD-DVD simply because it was cheaper to produce. Now that the war is over what is their stance? I have my fingers crossed that it's not "Sorry, no Blu Weinstein stuff!" AM

Before they make an announcement they need to make some money.

Yeah that would help...maybe Blu-ray sales can help spur on their predicament.

Default Fingers Crossed

I'm sure that they have to be wanting or working on something blu-ray, I'm just worried that maybe weinstein bit off a little more than he could chew and that another studio would have to release these films on blu-ray. The trouble with that would be wether or not pride would come in to play. I hope the Weinstein company can continue into the future, but if their survival means that I will have to wait YEARS for their catalog to be released on BR, then is it wrong of me to wish for their failure so they'll sell off the rights for home release to BV or Sony? Remember the days when you could be a movie fan without having to worry about the business end? sheesh.

Honestly, before the format war I didn't pay much attention to studios, other than noticing animated movies that were verrrrry obviously Disney.

Which movies are made/distributed by the Weinstein Company that I might have heard of?
