Hi! I purchased a few movies from Amazon (not physical discs) that are in my Amazon "Purchases & Rentals" section that I would like to add to the "My Movies" android app.
1. What section of the app should I add these to? The "Digital" section or the "Prime Video" section? 2. I can't figure out how to add these particular movies to the app even after searching for help. How do I do this? One movie for example is Den of Thieves. In the database there are two version release dates it seems... April 24, 2018 and January 16, 2024. In addition to adding the movie to the app how do I know what version release date I purchased? I would greatly appreciate any help! Thank you!!! |

I would add them in the "Prime" section, just to organize it better. That way if you search your collection for the movie it will show up in the Prime category which tells you where to find it in case you forgot which platform/format you purchased it on. I believe the "Digital" section is just a generic digital category that doesn't fit the any of the others (MA, iTunes, or Prime). Personally I wish they would add a YouTube category since many of my digitally purchased content is on that platform and I would prefer to organize it separately from other generic digital content, but oh well.
As for having different versions, pick whichever one you want. These are all user-added to the database from what I can tell, so if one movie is already in the database but someone else had a different edition and they were anal about having a precise match, they will add their special edition to the database so the picture and description matches exactly. Personally I don't care whether my collection lists the proper "edition" or not, I just want the list of movies, so when I add a movie I pick the closest one that comes up in the database. If it says widescreen but my copy is full screen, that doesn't bother me. |
