Man, just after buying the Criterion with the crappy sleeves. Would have definitely waited had I known!
Not to mention the 4k disc is scratched as well as the replacement disc Criterion sent! Wonder if the transfer will be as good or better? |

It may be the same master, but it'll probably be re-encoded for Film4's disc. Criterion's encoding team has a mixed track record. I think their Trainspotting disc looks solid overall, but there are instances with higher grain/noise levels that look a bit poor.
