Does anybody know the origins of this gem? I didn't see it in the database.

I do like the cover, is it official? Is it any different to the Lionsgate release?

It doesn't come up on any of the price search sites, maybe it's an un-labeled import?

It is an import, not from the UK. You can read the details over at OFDB.de.

Well, same R-rated version as the US Lionsgate release anyway. I assume it is the same transfer as that one but you lose the extras though.

It's available on amazon with customers saying its a pile of old tat.This must be the worst treated movie ever after that horrible cheap dvd release it got that wasn't even in widescreen.It actually gave you borders all round the screen!. Theres a 3D version of this release too which people say is a complete waste of time.Whats the american release like? as it's region locked.

Are you referring to this version? They are two different releases though and one is cut while the other isn't.

Just to let you guys know I currently own this. It stated it was the Uncut version. Managed to get a copy on ebay shipping from Germany. As far as I could tell its uncut although it only has DTS Audio and not lossless. I was happy enough with it and the menu is easy navigatable to turn off the German subtitles.

Keep in mind, this is between two products for the German-speaking market. The so called uncut version as pictured by Supernaut is the same as the R-rated cut as issued on BD in the US and Australia.

As has already been mentioned, if stuck for a Region B compatible version, you want the Australian release. A port of the US Lionsgate disc and uncut.

There isn't a UK disc at present, this is a German import.

That is true and I asked about it on another thread,possibly U.S. and was warned off that release.
As the discs from The States are region locked that really leaves the Aussie version left as an option at the moment for me.

Ebay should have quite a few Aussie ones - they did last time I looked.
