Great news! Didn't expect those to arrive on BD for a long time.

These should be amazing on Blu-Ray. The restored DVD's looked spectacular, I can't imagine how great the Blu's will look.

Too bad it isn't going to include the original Japanese language tracks.

Says who?

But a 5-film set... didn't the Lone Wolf and Cub series have six films?

Yes, it did have six films.

And since their Shogun Assassin DVD set didn't include the original audio, it stands to reason this one won't either.

Just so you guys know, these are the dubbed versions of the films. Shogun Assassin was a combination of the first 2 films dubbed way back when. Films 3-6 were then dubbed by Animeigo themselves recently and these are the versions being released. That is why they are calling it Shogun Assassin and not Lone Wolf And Cub.

You mean the UK DVD set?

P.S.
This release isn't in the database yet.

Dammit!! Got me excited there til I realized this is not the Lone Wolf & Cub series. I already have the Shogun Assassin blu-ray for novelty's sake so will be skipping this.

I am wondering though as to why this came to be 5 discs. Is it:
1st disc - Part 1 & 2 of LW&C
2nd disc - Part 3 of LW&C
3rd disc - Part 4 of LW&C
4th disc - Part 5 of LW&C
5th disc - Part 6 of LW&C

Dubbed with Rowan Atkinson? That's going TOO far!

(Me, I miss the AnimEigo that used to sell "Urusei Yatsura" on disk.
They'd lost the license years ago, and none of the two or three remaining anime companies are foolhardy enough to pick it up. )
