Zack Snyder Norse Mythology anime for Netflix - Blu-ray Forum

After everything that happened with Justice League, Zack Snyder is making his return in a big way and is getting into business with Netflix. That freedom from studio bosses fretting about movies that are guaranteed box office hits has clearly empowered the filmmaker because as well as Army of the Dead, he's now developing an anime series based on Norse mythology for them.

Snyder will team with frequent collaborator Jay Olivia on the project. He worked as a storyboard artist on everything from 300 to Watchmen and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and has been a vocal supporter of the "Snyder Cut." Olivia, who co-created the series with Snyder, will serve as showrunner, director, and executive producer. Snyder will be an executive producer.

We are beyond excited to partner with him and his exceptional team to bring the iconic characters and stories of Norse mythology to life in his inimitable style," said John Derderian, head of Anime programming for Netflix.

If Zack Snyder is behind this, it will be ~30% authentic to Norse mythology and 70% devoted to Ayn Rand ideology/The Fountainhead/Atlas Shrugged, disguised and sold as being something else.

I watched it, visually it looks nice, the idea is interesting and the animation is good and fights are cool... but then all the nudity and sex which just feels like somebody's giggling in a dark room drawing boobs and penises. The dialogue is pretty lousy too, like they're just trying to find ways to add cursing into animation for the hell of it so it seems adult and edgy.
