At Westerburg High School, an elite clique of snobby girls known as "Heathers" reign supreme. Smart and popular, Veronica (Winona Ryder, Stranger Things) is a reluctant member of the gang and disapproves of the other girls' cruel behaviour. When Veronica and her mysterious new boyfriend, JD (Christian Slater, True Romance), play a trick on the clique leader, Heather Chandler (Kim Walker), and accidentally poison her, they make it appear a suicide. But it soon becomes clear to Veronica that JD is a sociopath intent on vengefully killing the school's popular students. She races to stop him, clashing with the clique's new leader, Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty), and leading to an explosive final confrontation with her troubled former lover.

Directed by Michael Lehmann, Heathers pushed the teen comedy into dark and nightmarish territory and is distinguished by the career defining central performances of its stars Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. I've been expecting this. I loved the movie and it played a very big role in my life, as I used to dress like Slater's character and looked like him a bit. Hence the new nickname friends gave me. I kept using it when I hit college and deep into my twenties. I can still do a pretty good impression of Slater doing his impression of Jack Nicholson in the film.

Not to give anything away for those that have yet to see it, but for its time, this movie was very controversial. Even though it wasn't a blockbuster, it was being talked about pretty much everywhere. I just thought it was brilliant, and I did not really see it as being the "problem" many claimed it to be. I wonder if anyone would have cared about the subject matter if the movie sucked.

Edit: I just fully read the description of the film. Damn, is there any way not to spoil this for others? This is why I try and avoid as much information about movies I want to see as I possibly can. I don't want to know about a twist a good part into the film before I even see it. Let it surprise us, let us enjoy it. Now everything halfway through movies is revealed in descriptions and trailers.

I haven't ordered direct from them in quite a while, but I remember reading about damaged exclusives people received. How are they being shipped if you just buy 1 or 2 items? Has anybody ever done a group buy to guarantee they're shipped in a box (would that even help)?
