Saw this last night at the cinema. Hugely enjoyable, even in it's 12A rating. Can't wait for a harder cut on Blu. Funniest line at the expense of Bruce Willis following a much publicised spat with Stallone comes from Harrison Ford: "Don't worry about Church, he's out of the picture".

Really hoping for a legit R rated/Unrated cut. Legit as in actually noticeable. The lack of bloodshed really hurts this one IMO.

yeah, the illegal downloads on this one probably did hurt it. At the same time, the pg13 rating didn't help. This was a pg13 movie for an R rated generation. Why anyone thought that was the way to go was stupid. I need Rambo 4 blood.

Gosh this film sucked !!!

I hope it win all the razzies.

Bad writing, bad acting, bad special effect, no blood, no T&A, no cheesy, bad bad bad !!!!

The only thing that amuse me is Wesley Snipes and Antonio Banderas, they were good ! The rest... suck or are not too much into the 3rd installment. I think Jason Statham is there for 15 minutes or less. awful !

[Show spoiler]The final fight last 20 seconds... Mel Gibson give 3 punches to Sylvester Stalone, then this one kill him with like 10 gunshot... and still no blood.

Harrison Ford role is nothing but a waste of time. He drive, smiles, than leaves... boring !!!!!

3/10

(Expendables 1: 8/10
Expendables 2: 9/10)

I never though in a million year that it will suck that way !!!

Buy it for 5$ or less or used because it don't deserve to be in your collection !

Gibson easily stole the movie and reminded us of his dangerous charisma (his interrogation in the truck is the best scene in the picture).

If Roman Polanski can be forgiven by Hollywood, so can Mad Mel.

I agree, most of the cast was underused especially Gibson but he still managed to shine through.

He try hard and he is good, but he is not too much on screen. I think he's there for 20-25 min no more. In a 130 min film, it's not much for the main vilain. At a time, i was thinking, man, where is he, are we watching a dumb B flick with Kellan Lutz or a Expendables flick ?

There's so much plot holes in this flick, and the youngsters are so ''B'' style that the movie suffers a lot imo !

Wasted opportunity & definitely the worst of the three.

I'll give it another chance if there would be R-rated Dir Cut, otherwise It's a pass.

Ex1 - 10/10
Ex2 - 5/10
Ex3 - 4/10

With blood, i could give the movie a 5/10. I know it sounds stupid, but it looks more like a kid movie or a GI Joe film.

I agree. The film was below par and there wasn't enough Gibson. My point was: what he did was great.

In 1989, if you told someone that someday there'll be a movie that stars Sly, Arnold, Gibson, Ford, and even Kelsey Grammer, and that the movie would suck AND no one would go see it, they'd think you were nuts lol.

I'll say it before anyone else does:

That's cuz the movie DOESN'T star those guys. With the exception of Sly, each of them has only between 5-25 minutes of screentime in a movie that's over 2 hours long. The main cast is a bunch of nobodies. lol

Sly, you dun goofed. Take a f***ing cut in salary, a cut in screen time, and let the director do his job so we can get a decent action movie.

Wow, couldn't disagree more with the lot of you! This was, in my opinion, far and away the best of the three. While I agree that most of the cast was underutilized, I think that it actually worked in the movie's favor--there was a lack of focus in the other two that can be attributed to trying to give everyone enough screen-time.

The acting was far and away the best of the trilogy--Antonio Banderas was funny and Gibson was the most menacing villain in the series, despite not having enough screen-time (IMO, they should have killed him off with more ambiguity, to leave the door open for an appearance in the [potential] 4th film.)

No, it wasn't a great movie, but neither were the other two. If I were to rate the trilogy, I would say:

Expendables 2.5/5
Expendables 2 1.5/5
Expendables 3 3/5

Does this one actually have a plot? I know the first one had a plot but the second film didn't seem to know what a plot was.

Was mostly talking about Snipes, Banderas and Gibson. Nobody's seeing an Expendables movie for the younger actors.

Putting those charismatic stars alongside a bunch of bland newbies only highlights the issue though...
