USA Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete Collection (2015-2023) Blu-ray

Lionsgate will be releasing a Complete Series set for Fear the Walking Dead (2015-2023) on October 15th. It'll include all 113 episodes acrosss 8 seasons on 30 discs.

Quote:
A sign of the apocalypse has begun. Reports of a rapidly changing world for unknown reasons underscore this gritty drama, a prequel to AMC's uber-popular "Walking Dead." The story is told through the lens of high school guidance counsellor Madison Clark. The widowed mother is raising two children single-handedly and maintains a relationship with English teacher Travis Manawa, her apocalyptic partner. The challenge of blending their families is exacerbated by unforeseen chaos, and a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold.

I was waiting for this... since 2015.

Disc count matches the individual season releases, so probably no exclusive bonus disc this time, though the question is if it will include the special edition version for season one.

(good god what is going on in that cover art)

Well, if the price is right probably pick it up. I need 3 seasons to complete my collection so say $25 a season that would be $75.

I've always shied away from starting this one after being a fan of the original and not wanting its luster fogged.

Maybe now that it's over I can give it a go and pick this up.

The first three seasons are my favorite out of the entire TWD Universe. After that, they fired the creator/OG showrunner and ruined the series. I'm not kidding when I say it literally becomes a parody of how it began. Just grab those first three and call it a day. Season 3 ends in a way that kind of works as a makeshift finale.

Dave Erickson's original plan for this series would've been incredible to see play out. The art for this set just goes to show how much AMC cared about this series. It doesn't even feature Madison Clark...the series' lead character.

I already have all the seasons but i really love all of this show tbh. its not perfect but the character work always interested me more than post-Rick TWD and the other spinoffs. it hits some good emotional highs and always kept it interesting (nuke in an apocalypse is crazy stuff!)

When does Morgan make his first appearance in FTWD? I'm eight seasons into the original series and he is easily the worst character on the show.

I'll still pick this up along with some of the other spinoffs.

He joins Fear The Walking Dead at the start of Season 4.

I really do like Morgan, his arcs in this show and Season 8 of regular TWD are really moving

I guess he had to appeal to someone for them to go all in on him.

I couldn't stand him, especially towards the end. I found him to be such a boring character and listening to him whine about "Moe" and "Padre" was like nails on a chalkboard.

Still, he didn't really destroy the show. For me, they'd do that themselves in the final season. For most of it's run, I found it superior to "The Walking Dead". I liked how each season was different - even if one didn't work as well as others, they'd do something different the next.

For a series to go out the way this one did, though... the last episodes were so awful and the series finale is one of the worst. I've read people comment on how horrible this show was over it's run and never got it. The last episode was every negative thing I had ever read times 10.

Morgan destroyed this show. I was a day one fan, and they took the Clark family story away from me to make room for him.

Does anyone know if this supposedly "Complete" collection includes the "Dead In The Water" series as well?

Thought I saw this at Walmart for $70ish but it was the DVD edition. Blargh.

Can anyone confirm if this set uses the special edition season one discs?

No, they stupidly use the original stripped-down release of the first season.

If you can find a good deal on the individual releases, it might be better to go that route. Saving shelf space is nice, but I hate the DVD-sized packaging, and several of my (stacked) discs were off the hubs and scuffed up when I opened the package.
