Default The Powerpuff Girls

THE POWERPUFF GIRLS

"Sugar, spice, and everything nice
These were the ingredients chosen
To create the perfect little girls
But Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient
to the concotion -- Chemical X
Thus, The Powerpuff Girls were born!
Using their ultra-super powers
Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup
Have dedicared their lives to fighting crime
And the forces of evil!"

Ok.... MAN UP!!!!!
Who here has watched this show or is a huge fan of this show.
I have to admit I watched it as a kid and I loved it!
I just bought the Complete Series and I still love it!
"Mojo Jojo" and "Him" are probably one of the greatest villains ever!
Probably as I grew older as a kid I stopped watching it,
so my guess is I stopped during Season 3 or 4,
and I didn't even see the movie in theaters.
Whenever I saw an episode on TV when I got a bit older I watched it.
It looks like a cute kiddie show, but it's actually very violent and shows blood.
It's a guilty pleasure of mine and as man, I am proud to admit this.
Only real men watch this show.
The VIOLENCE KICKS ASS!
They are all like Hit-Girl with "Superpowers!"

So, since I purchased the Complete Series DVD Set yesterday I am close to the end of season 2.
TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THIS SHOW....WATCH IT! You won't regret it!!!

Hell yeah. Beyond its cute exterior, lies the violence that we enjoy in a cartoon. Ahhh childhood.

Powerpuff Girls is awesome and can't wait to watch Powepuff Girls Z. (Yes I know Craig McCracken isn't part of it since it's an anime but still would like to see it but doubt I ever will unless it hits dvd or Blu-ray with Cartoon Network not being smart enough to show it and instead show a bunch of crappy shows).

I'll admit it.

watched it all through college (when it premiered) and after. not sure how many season I have seen. And I have the movie on dvd. wouldn't mind getting the complete series someday. That and Dexters Lab were some very well done shows back then.

I just noticed that Time Warner gave me the 24 hour version of Boomerang instead of that On Demand version I had before. When I was watching Captain Planet right after the original Space Ghose cartoon(not that Coast to Coast talk show series of his Space Ghost did during the time Moltar was hosting Toonami) on it I noticed a commercial that Powerpuff Girls is now on Cartoon Network's Boomerang channel as well as it having lots of other Cartoon Network series.

Um, didn't we all just kinda stick a fork in the series after the Movie bombed, and Cartoon Network realized they weren't as universally beloved as they thought they were?

And if you're wondering "Back" from what, anyone remember eleven years ago when Warner had their hearts broken thinking enough of us had heard of them that we would all flock to a bigscreen movie?...
That was back during the post-Rugrats cable-movie bubble of '02 and '03, and its role in popping it did more to kill studios' interest in traditional animation than any of the Disney movies could.
Which, ironically, ended up being the reason this one's getting cheap Flash animation.

(Seriously, I thought, "What, is this new revival gimmick that they're teenagers now? "_
