I'm still waiting for my replacement discs from the beeb. No one in their office since March.

You’ll be waiting a long time then. Why didn’t you return it to the retailer?

I tried returning mine to Amazon but since they no longer accept returns from Royal Mail and insist on using dropboxes, lockers and Herpes and I was self-isolating in lockdown they told me not to bother and refunded me. So I might as well wait for a replacement if they ever get anyone back in the office.

So, any guesses what they'll get wrong with this one? My money's on adding onscreen subtitles to Patrick Stewart's dialogue.
[Show spoiler]He doesn't have any.

That’s weird, I still use Royal Mail for all my Amazon returns, just did a couple last weekend.

I thought it very odd myself at the time, but the only Royal Mail returns they would accept at the time were by some pre-paid label that had to be done in person at a Post Office - which obviously wasn't an option self-isolating.

There’s an option titled “Other Dropoff - Printer required”, when you click that, it lets you choose Royal Mail, and you can print a returns label. It still has to be taken to a post box though, they won’t come and collect it, so if you were self isolating and couldn’t go outside, then it wouldn’t have made a difference.

There wasn't when I tried to return it - I actually spent about 20 minutes with their customer service chat trying to get a label or just an address I could use for a post box (there's one a few hundred yards away I'd post my mail in the middle of the night and have a short walk when no-one was around), but at that time it was either lockers, Herpes dropoff or some convoluted process where you had to go to the Post Office and they were supposed to print it to prove it was dispatched.

Maybe they've changed it to the old system since then (I haven't tried returning anything since), maybe it was just a local area thing or maybe it was a case of 'computer says no' and it wasn't part of the call centre script and they just decided it wasn't worth the time. It certainly struck me as very odd at the time.

Looking forward to this one. I e-mailed the Beeb right when I ordered TTSS in January from Amazon. The replacement disc arrived at my parent's house in the UK the day after the Amazon order.

I thought that after lockdown ended the department responsible would have at least one person per week in the office to clear any backlog.
I was wrong.

And now there’s another lockdown starting it introduces more delay. Hopefully you’ll get them eventually.

For those in the US who wish to import this, it's just been unlocked for shipping by Amazon several days early. Now if only the StudioCanal 4K release of The Ladykillers would follow suit...
