Blu-ray features a 5.1 PCM Surround Sound mix by Steven Wilson and High Resolution Stereo mixes. The Blu-ray also features the original album mix in a hi-res flat transfer from the original stereo master tape source as well as a complete alternate album running order drawn from live tracks, singles edits and an extended mix. And if that wasn't enough, the Blu-ray exclusive features include full album instrumental mixes, a full album needle-drop of an original UK A1/B1 vinyl pressing, additional singles edits and live tracks.

Why are they doing multichannel mixes of albums that already have multichannel mixes? Aren't there enough albums that haven't been done yet?

Everything is being redone in ATMOS, not sure why this album didn't get one. I love the album but I have the original mix on CD and the Steven Wilson CD/BD and I don't do vinyl. I will just stream the live shows.

I can suggest a couple of dozen albums Steven Wilson should remix before reremixing this one. And including an LP along with a multichannel blu-ray is completely wrong-headed. Those are two different audiences. They only shove them in together to jack the price up.

The Blu-ray is the same as the one in the 2014 release, which can still be purchased without the LP for a significantly lower price:

Considering the above, it is unusual they didn't want to add anything new to the release to make it appealing for people who already have the 2014 CD+Blu-ray release (like an Atmos mix).

I'm really hoping we get Steven's mixes of Hunting High and Low Atmos/5.1 soon, the lossy streaming Atmos mix of Take On Me, fidelity notwithstanding, is really bloody good.

Wait, hold the phone: Steven Wilson did a whole complete album remix of 'Hunting High and Low' im Atmos ? My understanding was he only did the single/song 'Take on Me'

As to Yes, I just got the new SACD of their album '90125' that I can't wait to listen to!
