Not a huge fan of this movie but I love Raimi's style so count me in.

Its always interesting to see what catalog titles SONY releases to 4K UHD.

I might decide to finally revisit it with this release. I haven't seen it since I rented the VHS when it came out for rental!

It is a bit of an uneven movie, but still entertaining and certainly gorgeous.

The current BD is quite good and very film-like so I can only imagine what the UHD will look like.

At this point I'm basically buying almost all Sony titles....

Hope this is the full 107-min "European cut" with the sex scene (seen in the US trailers) that actually does help the script...the UK Blu-Ray has it, but I won't hold my breath!

Well the courts are out on the whole whether or not it helps it, but I would want it included for completeness sake. I seriously doubt it would be on the 4k, but it might be worth importing the UK version of the release to get it. So I'll pencil myself in on this one, but like the Prestige I might be importing it (or buying the America release and switch the BD's).

lol, I don't really care what "the courts" have to say. Personally feel there is an abrupt switch in the relationship between the leads without it. The movie is not great either way, but it helps the film more than harms it.

Are they really going to press different versions of this for different regions? I'd be surprised there's enough interest in this title to warrant that kind of trouble.

... Can't wait. Love this film. Lance Henrikson is gold in this.

I like this film quite a bit-- Sharon Stone in one of her better roles, Gene Hackman a great villain (he was pretty much great in everything he made around this time of his career), fun and at times over the top direction....

hopefully another A-grade 4k catalog release from Sony!

Never been crazy about this. Always felt his directing style didn’t mesh with the content. Haven’t seen it since it’s home video release and bits and pieces on tv. BUT it’s SONY so I am obligated.

Watched this one a loooong time ago on a VHS and didn't feel like re-buying it on better media. Maybe only picture quality can sway me on this one.

It's not a great movie of course. I'd give it a solid 7 to 7.5/10. It's a fun modern western b movie like Young Guns but with more style and flare. I don't understand why it is disliked so much.

That said, I don't think I really need it in 4k unless it comes fairly cheap. Even then it is a low priority. For 4k I'm mostly concerned with great titles like Unforgiven, Die Hard, There Will Be Blood, Saving Private Ryan and stuff like that.

this one I will prob get in a sale as i do like the film, but hope to hear its a usual Sony 4K disc and has great picture quality. Happy to get catalog titles but unless they are genius classics will be a sale price purchase only

A fun take on the western. I only got around to buying the Blu-ray last week (s/h for just a couple of pounds), & saw it in the weekend, very enjoyable, I didn't know that Russell Crowe was ever that thin!
