Paramount ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor! (2024)

Quote:
“¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!,” the documentary about “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone reopening the iconic suburban Denver Mexican restaurant Casa Bonita, is set for a theatrical release after its Telluride Film Festival screening on Sunday.

The documentary tracks the story of the “Disneyland of Mexican restaurants,” which included a waterfall, cliff divers, puppets and haunted caves. The restaurant appeared in a 2003 episode of “South Park,” and the docu follows Parker and Stone’s efforts to preserve a crumbling piece of their childhood. Along the way, the pair run into numerous issues and question the viability of the project.

The Sweet Relief and MTV Documentary Films production won the audience award at the Tribeca Festival earlier this year.

“¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!” will open theatrically in Denver on Sept. 6 and rollout to New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston and other select cities on Sept. 13. It will make its streaming debut on Paramount+ this fall.

The documentary is directed by Arthur Bradford and produced by Jennifer Ollman.

Anything at all related to Trey Parker and Matt Stone (two people i have the highest of respect for, they are geniuses) I am in for.

I just hope Cartman can have his birthday party there one day!
