Smile Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer on October 2

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Blu-ray

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Blu-ray Review

Best Buy is currently taking preorders for the Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. The release date for all versions of the movies (including Blu-Ray) is October 2. The movie wasn't great but Jessica Alba in HD is always worth the price!
By the way, I am a Home theater sales specialist at Best Buy, and I must say that stand-alone Blu-Ray players (excluding the Playstation 3) is outselling the HD-DVD players (excluding 360 HD-DVD add on). The Panasonic DMP-BD10AK is doing exceptionally well for being $600, it's always sold out. Maybe it's because of the included 5 movies.

Aren't all of Fox's Blu-ray releases regionalized (US anyways)?

Default Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer worth a buy?

I liked the first one but did not get the chance the see the second one. Was it as good as the first? I forgot it is released next week and want pre-order it if it is good. I love blu ray but really only buy movies I want, so I thought I would ask. excuse my spelling on the title.

the general consensus is that the 1st absolutely sucked, and most thought the 2nd one was much better even though still mediocre. So if you liked the 1st one, u'll definitely enjoy the 2nd one. I personally liked both.

I saw the first one, wasnt a big fan of it. But I heard the 2nd one had its moments, so that plus the fact that is Jessica Alba is in it makes it a definate purchase in my eyes.

If only there was a way to tell if you liked a movie without buying it. What if there was a place you could go , and pay a much smaller amount of money, and promise to return it after you watched it ?

I thought that Jessica Alba was usually the reason NOT to get a movie?

I hate when they show the whole movie in the trailer. The Silver Surfer/Human Torch chase scene would of been amazing if I saw it for the first time during the actual film. I prefer teaser trailers, personally. I look forward to owning it on BD.

first one was barely watchable. 2nd one was made for 6 year olds. Thing SHOULD be cgi. they let some two bit actor on cable tell them how it was going to be. seriously people, grow some balls. you paid him, not the other way around.

Thing definately shouldn't be CGI and the makeup was a lot better this time around

That being said they should have stopped with Doom when they were still several continents behind.

Michael Chiklis has had several successful TV shows, and he's a great Thing. The casting isn't the problem, it's simply the lousy scripts.

I'm in the same boat. I liked the first one (and own it) but didn't get a chance to see the 2nd. Most things I've read, said the 2nd one was better than the 1st so I'm definitely buying it. I'm sure I'll like it.

I'll take the comic book Thing over the "gee I can't tell that's a suit " and "i'm the same size of everyone else" and I don't have my trademark unibrow. I'm not even a comic book nerd, probably purchased about 10 my whole life but I know what he looks like and in the movie it is just wrong. As for his tv shows, good for him. He's nowhere near the top to say he wants it "this way" or i'm not doing it and these movies are not getting him any closer.

I don't even know why i'm speaking out over this movie Must be more tired than I thought. How about we just agree to disagree?
