So....I have a samsuck (pd-p1000) as my "other" blu player (in the second home theater). I recently added the firmware for version 1.4 to the unit. I did this to stay current with the new movies recently released. So I add the new firmware and guess what? some of my older movies will now freeze up, and act weird! Isn't the whole point of the upgrade to upgrade? The movie "the condemed" was the only movie I was having problems with prior to the new firmware....All I can say is "DAMMIT SAMSUNG REALLY SUCKS LATELY", they are really setting a very bad example for this awesome new format.....Most of their stand alone players are riddled with problems. I really hope they get their @#$* together this year, and put out some quality in 08'. (enough venting) Has anyone else been experiencing the same problems with the new firmware upgrades for the new players? or should I just take this player back to the "BIG BOX" store, and throw it at them! .....YEEEEEESHH........Def
